What is AuDHD?
AuDHD is a term many people use when they’re both autistic and ADHD. It’s common: one research review found that 50 to 70% of autistic people also have ADHD.1 The two can pull in different directions, which can feel like an inner tug-of-war, and each can hide the other.

Why assess both together?
Looking at ADHD and autism side by side gives a fuller picture than two separate assessments, and it costs less.

Fees
Adult AuDHD assessment
ADHD and autism interviews, one combined report and feedback. About 1.5 to 2 hours of appointments. Can be done by telehealth.
Child and teen AuDHD assessment
Parent interview, ADOS-2 observation, ADHD assessment, one combined report and feedback, with a senior clinician. Testing is at our Wahroonga clinic.
What the fee covers
- Your appointments: the interviews, observation and feedback session.
- Scoring and analysis: scoring standardised measures and interpreting them against DSM-5 criteria.
- Your report: one detailed written report that can support school, workplace and NDIS planning.
- Licensed tools: usage fees for tools such as the ADOS-2, MIGDAS-2 and Conners.
- Clinical review: consultation to support an accurate result.
A $295 deposit secures your booking and comes off your total fee. Please give at least 2 business days’ notice to change or cancel. See all fees on our fees page.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it harder to identify both?
It can be, because ADHD and autism traits can mask or balance each other out. That’s why we look at both together, with clinicians experienced in AuDHD profiles.
Do I get two reports?
No. You’ll receive one combined report that explains both, how they interact, and what support may help.
What if I’m only ADHD, only autistic, or neither?
Your feedback session and report still describe what we found, including your strengths and support needs, and suggest practical next steps.
Can an adult assessment be done by telehealth?
Yes. Adult AuDHD assessments can be done fully online, anywhere in Australia. Children’s and teens’ assessments include testing at our Wahroonga clinic. See telehealth.
Do I need a referral?
No, you don’t need a referral for an assessment. A GP referral and Mental Health Treatment Plan can help with Medicare rebates for therapy afterwards.
Can I claim a Medicare rebate?
Medicare rebates for assessments are limited. If you’re under 25 and referred by a paediatrician or psychiatrist for possible autism, some sessions may attract a rebate. Please check with your specialist before booking.
Can I use my NDIS funding?
If your plan is self-managed or plan-managed, you may be able to use your funding. Please check with your plan manager. Read more about our NDIS psychology services.
How long until I get my report?
We aim to send your report within 4 weeks of your final session.
